The purpose of the work is to develop recommendations for ensuring gas safety when installing the УКВШ 5/6 compressor unit in a dead-end development of the western main haulage drift horizon of 410 m. Research methods - generalization and analysis of results, methods of mathematical statistics, calculations using standard methods. As a result of the work, the technical documentation for the dead-end development of the western main haulage of the mine "Yubileynaya" PSS "PershotravenskeMineGroup" Private Joint-stock Company "DTEK Pavlogradugol " was analyzed. “Recommendations for ensuring safe operation of the УКВШ 5/7 underground screw compressor installation when it is placed in the dead-end mine of the western main haulage drift of the horizon 410 m” have been developed. The placement of the УКВШ 5/7 underground screw compressor installation in the dead-end development of the western main haulage drift of the horizon 410 m at the Yubileinaya mine was agreed upon subject to the implementation of the developed recommendations for gas safety. The results of the implementation of the development - the application of the developed recommendations helped to ensure gas safety in mining, which is of great socio-economic and environmental importance.
