The object of research is the methodology of the formation and mechanism of cluster functioning in light industry. The purpose of this research work is to develop a methodology for the formation and operation mechanism of clusters in light industry. Methods used during the study: gnoseological analysis (logical, generalization, decomposition); scientific abstraction; comparative analysis; graphic; generalization; abstract-logical. The prerequisites for the emergence of clusters in the industry are analyzed. The diagnostics of components of estimation of cluster-forming potential is carried out. The influence of integration processes on the investment-innovation development of light industry enterprises is determined. A methodical toolkit for identifying clusters of light industry has been formed. The methods for assessing the effectiveness of implemented measures for participants in intracluster interactions, industry, region as a whole are determined. The components of the cluster functioning mechanism are established. The organizational and economic mechanism of cluster functioning in light industry was constructed. Measures of informational-analytical and organizational support of the formed and operating territorial-branch associations are developed. The results of the research into the implementation of the activities of PE «Helen-A» and the educational process of Khmelnytsky National University.
