The purpose of the work is to conduct a study of the sources of methane emission, to coordinate measures to eliminate sparking due to frictional sparking due to possible impacts of the elements of the destroyed lock joint of the frame fastening on the sandstone in the side walls of the workings of Public Joint-stock Company "РokrovskoeMineGroup". Research methods - generalization and analysis of results, methods of mathematical statistics, calculations using standard methods. As a result of the work, the mining and geological and mining characteristics of Public Joint-stock Company "РokrovskoeMineGroup" were analyzed. An assessment was made of the danger of formation of an explosive methane-air medium in excavation drifts with airing schemes used at the mine and the danger of its ignition from sparks formed during steel impact on sandstone in the side walls and roof of the mine. “Recommendations on the exclusion of sparking during mining operations due to the possible impact of elements of the destroyed castle lining joints of frame supports against sandstones in the side walls and roof of excavation drifts in the geological conditions of "РokrovskoeMineGroup" were developed. Agreed "Measures to exclude sparking during mining operations due to possible impacts of the elements of the destroyed arch joints of the lining against sandstones in the side walls of the mine workings". The scientific value of the work is the development of methods to ensure the gas and fire safety of excavation areas of coal mines in difficult mining conditions. The practical value of the work is the effective application of ensuring the safety of mining operations in the conditions of "РokrovskoeMineGroup".
