The purpose of the work is to test the methods of monitoring the accumulation of heavy metals in soil and plants, as well as to determine the impact of pollution on the biochemical parameters of medicinal plants. Research methods: systematic and phenological observations, selection and preparation of plant material, biochemical, physico-chemical, immunological, mathematical, statistical and analytical. Scientific novelty of the obtained results. Complex long-term research on the content of Cd, Zn, Pb, Cu in the soil-plant system in the territory adjacent to the airfield "Zhulyany" of the Kyiv region and Nizhyn airfield of Chernihiv region has been carried out. The coefficient of technogenic concentration of heavy metals in soils, the intensity of their migration from the soil in plants using the coefficient of biological absorption is established. A quantitative estimate of the fatty acid content of lipids, ascorbic acid, flavonoid compounds in phytomass of herbaceous plants having a pharmacological value is carried out. The resistance of plants to the action of abiotic factors is evaluated. Theoretical and practical results: the obtained data of the research can be used in the development of new parameters of the normalization of the content of heavy metal ions in the investigated objects; the property of the investigated plants to accumulate heavy metals can be used as one of the methods of phytoremidation and phyto-monitoring of the medium. Getting biologically active substances of medicinal plants for the needs of medicine and dietary nutrition. Materials of research are useful for students of biological and environmental profiles.
