The purpose of the work is to conduct a study of the sources of methane release and agree on a scheme for airing the stope of the 14 southern lava of block 10, measures for the rescue and self-rescue of underground workers during accidents in the workings of Public Joint-stock Company "РokrovskoeMineGroup". Research methods - generalization and analysis of results, methods of mathematical statistics, calculations using standard methods. As a result of the work, the mining characteristics of the excavation section 14 of the southern lava of block 10 of Public Joint-stock Company "РokrovskoeMineGroup" were analyzed. Developed "Recommendations for ensuring gas safety of the excavation section 14 of the southern lava of block 10 of the d4 stratum of Public Joint-stock Company "РokrovskoeMineGroup" when using a return-flow ventilation scheme, type 1-M". The use of a return-flow type 1-M scheme for airing the excavation section 14 of southern lava unit 10, the calculation of the air flow required for its ventilation and the maximum allowable load on the clearing face on the gas factor at three stages of the mining of lava was agreed, subject to the implementation of the developed recommendations for ensuring gas safety. Developed "Activities for the rescue and self-rescue of underground workers during accidents in the workings of 14 southern lava unit 10".
