The subject of research - aliphatic and aromatic amino acids and their derivatives. The purpose of the work is to optimize already known and develop new methods for the synthesis of amino acids and their derivatives that can be used for further transformations and synthesis, thus compounds with biological activity, as well as confirmation of the structure of these compounds. The research methods are organic synthesis and physicochemical analysis involving a spectrum of research methods including nuclear magnetic resonance, mass spectrometry, and chromatography. Optimized conditions for the modification of various derivatives of amino acids, which significantly increased the yields of the target compounds, and thus gave the opportunity to obtain sufficient modifications for further research. Some synthetic approaches have been developed that enable the functionalization of both aliphatic derivatives and their aromatic and heterocyclic analogs while preserving the optimal number of heavy atoms in the molecule, which makes the products perspective bilding blocks. On the other hand, it has been proved that there is a possibility of obtaining various heterocyclic derivatives using carboxy and amino groups as functional.
