The subject of the study is the requirements of Directive 2008/56 / EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 June 2008 establishing a framework for Community action in the field of maritime policy, the status of environmental information provision for marine environmental management at the Ukrainian Marine Ecology Research Center. The purpose of the work is to develop recommendations and improve the existing state of ecological and informational support of marine nature management in the Ukrainian Scientific Center for Marine Ecology, taking into account the requirements of Directive 2008/56 / EC. Methods of research - system analysis, method of comparisons, generalization and method of technologies used in geographic information systems. The results of the work - an analysis of the requirements of Directive 2008/56 / EC and analysis of the possibilities of modern environmental information provision of marine natural resources in the Ukrainian Scientific Center for the Ecology of the Sea in accordance with the requirements of Directive 2008/56 / EC. Recommendations for improving the ecological and informational support of marine nature management in the Ukrainian Scientific Center for Marine Ecology have been developed, taking into account the requirements of Directive 2008/56 / EC. The current update of the SeaBase database was carried out with new monitoring data and cryptography. A number of activities were carried out and a number of tasks were done to support the OBIS Black Sea, operating on the basis of UkrSSR. The SeaBase database structure was updated and optimized to support geoinformation systems technologies based on the ESRI ArcMAP software, ESRI ArcGIS Server and Portal for ArcGIS Enterprise, and upgraded the interface to access the SeaBase database.
