Methods of research - analytical method of research (analysis of regulatory documents and sources of information) and an experimental method of studying the indicators of fire hazard of substances and materials. As a result of the work:   an analysis of European and national standards and other sources of information on methods for determining indicators of fire and explosion of substances and materials; analytical researches have been carried out on revealing the relationship of fire and explosion indices of substances and materials established in GOST 12.1.044, with current Ukrainian standards, construction norms and normative-legal acts; experimental researches of indicators of fire hazard of materials were conducted, the results of which substantiated the criteria for the establishment of a group of non-combustible materials, the procedure for preparing and fastening samples of bulk materials during the determination of their combustibility, the procedure for determining the coefficient of smoke formation of multilayer materials; the national standard of Ukraine DSTU 8829: 2019 is developed.
