The object of the study is the seawater and ecosystem of the Black Sea within the exclusive maritime economic zone of Ukraine. The purpose of the study is to prepare materials for the Marine Strategy of Ukraine, which is being developed within the framework of the implementation of the EU Directive (2008/56/EU) in accordance with the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union. Based on the analysis of the current state, changes and trends in the marine environment arising from the impact of anthropogenic and natural factors, it is necessary to develop such components of the Strategy as a basic assessment of the ecological status and status of ecosystems and the definition of the Good Environmental Status (GES) of the Black Sea within the territorial waters Ukraine and the exclusive maritime economic zone of Ukraine. Methods of research - in the GDR used traditional methods of analytical generalization of data, statistical analysis, comparative analysis and the method of mathematical modeling of the dynamics of the state of marine ecosystems, methods of biotesting and bioindication, based on environmental observations performed by the Ukrainian scientific center of marine ecology in 2008-2018, historical data the period of the 1940's and 1960's and data from literary sources, with the assistance of satellite information and data of expeditionary works, information from the State Hydrometeorological Center of Ukraine.
