The purpose of the work is to develop recommendations for ensuring gas safety when releasing the outgoing jet from the dead-end face of a ventilation duct, to develop the “Project for the degassing of the excavation site” and to agree on the “Project for the isolated removal of methane from the exhausted space through the pipeline using the gas-suction fan at State Enterprise "Mine the name of M.S.Surgay". Research methods - generalization and analysis of results, methods of mathematical statistics, calculations using standard methods. As a result of the work, the technical documentation for the development of 14 eastern lava of the C11 formation and the Eastern auxiliary cross-section No. 2 of the State Enterprise "Mine the name of M.S.Surgay" were analyzed. The calculation of the expected methane emission within the excavation area has been carried out; calculation of air flow required for ventilation of the excavation area; calculation of the required diameters of the pipeline and the operating mode of the vacuum pumps.
