The questions related to the classification of coal seams on the content of toxic and potentially toxic elements are considered. Methods of establishing associations of toxic and potentially toxic elements in coal seams are described. Particular attention is paid to the issues of establishing the main regularities of the distribution of toxic and potentially toxic elements in the working coal deposits of the major geological and industrial regions of the Donbas.
