Lazaryan popup.description2  The object of research in research work is a locomotive piston compressor. Purpose: to reduce the period of the process of technical diagnostics of the locomotive compressor under the conditions of the depot and the plant, as well as to develop methods for diagnosing the compressor without removing from the locomotive. The goal is achieved by improving the existing methods and tools for testing and diagnosing compressors. The main methods in conducting research are methods of mathematical modeling on a computer with the help of the corresponding software complexes. The scientific novelty of the results obtained is to improve the method for detecting malfunctions of the crank piston group and valve boxes of the piston compressor and predict the residual resource. Practical meaning. Application of the developed software-hardware complex gives the opportunity: to automate the process of technical diagnostics; shorten the time to test; reduce energy and labor costs for diagnostics; perform diagnostics of the compressor without removing from the locomotive; to predict the remaining resource of the compressor nodes. The economic effect from the implementation of research in research workresults is ensured by reducing the time of diagnosis and testing and reducing the cost of energy and labor resources for diagnosis and testing.
