The purpose of the study is to research the prevalence, features of clinical manifestations and the course of combination of diabetes, metabolic syndrome and obesity. Analyze elements of the program of enhanced recovery for surgical patients with obesity and metabolic syndrome. Today, obesity is seen not as a problem for individuals with excess body weight, but as a worldwide pandemic of non-infectious nature that causes numerous health disorders and significantly shortens life expectancy. Being a serious medico-social and economic problem of the present time, obesity contributes to the development of a number of comorbidities, first of all type 2 diabetes mellitus. Modern research has already demonstrated the feasibility and promising results of metabolic surgery in the treatment of patients with obesity and metabolic syndrome. However, the problem of choosing a method of surgery in this category of patients is still extremely difficult and far from achieving a definitive solution. Significant improvements in treatment outcomes are potentially possible through the introduction of telemedicine elements and enhanced recovery protocols. Keywords: Metabolic syndrome, diabetes mellitus, obesity, minimally invasive surgery, surgical treatment, telemedicine. Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
