The subject of the research work is a set of theoretical provisions, methodological approaches and methods of managing the strategic development of enterprises of the machine-building industry. The object of study is the current strategic management system of a radiocommunication industry joint stock company in the context of improving its effectiveness. Methods of work - comparison, analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, graphic, calculated, SWOT-analysis, PEST-analysis, expert evaluation, formalization, analogies and more. The scientific novelty of the conducted research is reflected in: proposals for the formation of the concept of strategic development of an enterprise aimed at increasing its value, taking into account the organizational and industry characteristics of the entity; methodological guidelines for the calculation of the economic value added index (EVA) based on adjustments to net operating income, taking into account the specifics of engineering enterprises; a formulated strategic management concept combining the basics of economic value added, a balanced scorecard, a quality management system and a process management approach; systematization of the methodological toolkit of substantiation of the cost-oriented strategy of PJSC “Orion”. The results of the research work will contribute to the improvement of the strategic management system of PJSC "Orion" taking into account the level of development of its potential and influence of factors of the external environment.
