FREQUENCY TUNABLE, MICROSTRIP RESONANT ELEMENTS, MICROSTRIP ANTENNA ELEMENTS, DIELECTRIC RESONATOR, DIELECTRIC RESONATOR ANTENNA ELEMENTS Object of research is micromechanically tuned antenna elements based on dielectric resonators and microstrip lines. The aim of research is to identify the principles of micromechanical tuning of antenna elements based on of dielectric resonators and microstrip lines and to study the influence of the physical and topological parameters of antenna elements on the frequency and energy characteristics of antennas. Research methods include numerical methods for solving electrodynamic equations of electromagnetic fields and integral characteristics of resonant and antenna elements, experimental methods for measuring the scattering matrix parameters. Electomechanically tunable antenna elements, which combine the functions of the input filters in addition to forming radiation pattern, have significant potential. However, already known implementations are far from the industrial usage, and their constructions leave the field for the further investigations. In the research, the designs of resonant elements, which are the main components of antenna elements, based on dielectric and microstrip structures, tuned micromechanically, were proposed. The influence of the physical and topological parameters of antenna elements on the frequency and energy characteristics of antennas were investigated. The advantages of the proposed designs are a wide range of adjustments up to 30% and no additional losses, and the high sensitivity of the resonance frequency tuning in a micromechanical method will allow to combine the advantages of electrical and mechanical methods due to the possibility of using modern electric motors.
