LAVRA ICONS, STYLE, TECHNICAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL STUDY NATIONAL KYIV-PECHERSK HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL RESERVE The subject of the study is the formation and development of the style; use of techniques and technologies in the Lavra iconography of the late 17th century. The purpose of this study is to establish the peculiarities of style, techniques and technologies of the iconography of the 17-18-century icons, originated from the Lavra, which are part of the collection of the National Kyiv-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Reserve, as well as to distinguish the items related to the Lavra workshops through dates, inscriptions, signatures and plots, as well as technical and technological features that in some way indicate their relation to the Lavra. The study is based on the principles of historicism and systematic comparative analysis. For the first time: the historiography of the Lavra iconographic pieces of art of the late 17-18th centuries were studied and unknown aspects of the topic were identified; the Lavra pieces of art of the late 17-18th centuries were discovered and investigated in the collection of the National Kyiv-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Reserve (NKPHCR); their material structure was studied; the distinctive stylistic features of the studied items were established; the attribution of the studied icons was clarified; the items indirectly related to the Lavra workshops were identified through dates, inscriptions, signatures and plots, as well as technical and technological features which in some way indicate their relation to the Lavra.
