This research is devoted to developing of the prototype of expert system for rapid change in production of clothes including the change from everyday clothes to military uniform. Methods are as follows: cluster and factor analysis; morphological analysis. Experimental studies were performed using samples, simulation modelling in Arena software, 3D-design methods in “Rhinoceros” and “JuliviClo3D”. In order to construct patterns of the garments PDS “Julivi” and “Gracia” were used. Experimental data were conducted using MsExcel, PASW Statistic. Evaluation of roughness characteristics was performed by method of MFFA. The prototype of the expert system was developed in “Rapana”. The prototype of expert system of rapid change in clothing design was developed based on the typological range of women’s outerwear. The principles of heuristic design of clothes based on typological ranges and transformation chains were grounded, therefore making it possible to form a productive model of knowledge base of automated system with elements of artificial intelligence. Mathematical models of non-uniform scaling and conditions of its using in order to construct various garment types are grounded. Methodological approaches to the rapid changes in clothing design based on the technology of multi-alternative clothing design were developed. The concept of simulation model of clothing design process was developed. The method of transformable garments segmentation, which is based on established interrelationships between parameters of segments, is theoretically grounded. A mobile application was developed for calculating the parameters of the basic clothing units.
