The components of regulatory support were grouped on the basis of their systematization according to the criteria of compliance: reference points of the knowledge triangle, links between them, types of ensuring their interaction, which made it possible to identify the level of regulatory coverage of the components of the knowledge triangle and its qualitative impact at the regional level. The peculiarities of the functioning of the knowledge triangle are investigated on the basis of the combination of statistical information on research, innovation activities and the results of interviews with representatives of the reference points of the triangle, (a counter-analysis of the response of different groups of respondents was carried out).
