The block copolymer P123 was used as a template, and sodium metasilicate with diethylphosphatoethyltriethoxysilane as precursors. According to the diffraction patterns, the samples of mesoporous silica have hexagonal symmetry p6mm. In addition, xerogel with similar groups synthesized by the sol-gel method was used for comparison. All samples have high values ​​of specific surface area of ​​615-730 m2 / g. IR spectroscopy and potentiometric titration methods were used to study the surface layer of these samples. The sorption properties of samples with phosphonic acid groups with respect to a number of metal cations (lead (II), cadmium (II) and dysprosium (III)) have been studied.
