Depending on the ratio of the starting silanes, the number of functional groups can range from 4.3 to 5.5 mmol / g. It is shown that the size of the particles and their porosity depends on the nature of the functional groups and can vary depending on the ratio of organosilanes. Amine-containing and sorbents with mercaptopropyl groups have shown high efficiency in the processes of sorption of transition metal ions from aqueous solutions. The sol-gel obtained by the silica method with the amino / phenolic functional surface layer and, to a greater extent, the samples with adsorbed copper (II) ions show high antibacterial activity against S. aureus.
