The purpose of the work: development of advanced techniques of kinematic and energy calculations of engineering structures on the basis of creation of new mathematical models and widespread use of information technology, search for an effective version of introduction of these techniques into courses of technical disciplines of higher education institutions and into engineering practice. Research methods and equipment: theoretical analysis, mathematical modeling, packages of applied computer programs, modern computing equipment. Results: A dynamical model of transportation of extra heavy loads by two bridge cranes is created on the basis of the Lagrange second type differential equations in order to numerically evaluate and rationalize the parameters of this movement. An example of using the created model is given. The through computer calculations for the strength of statically determined binary and cantilevered I-beams have been created in the Mathcad system and illustrated by a number of examples, which are based on the previously proposed concept of the use of safe factor spaces of twin axes and greatly simplify and accelerate the computational process. The ways of improvement of the training system of engineering personnel with the purpose of choosing an effective variant of introduction into the educational process and engineering practice of the latest scientific and technical achievements, in particular the results of this work, are analyzed. The essence, content and problems of the priority concept of STEM – education are considered, its advantages over traditional didactic methods of higher education are shown in terms of the quality of knowledge and the mastery of the achievements of science and technology.
