The purpose of the study is increase of energy efficiency of power supply systems with distributed generation; solving problems of electromagnetic compatibility of renewable energy sources. To achieve the goal, the following were accomplished: an assessment of the wind flow nature influence on power quality supplied by the wind installation to the distribution network; experimental research of power quality in tire section of a solar power station were conducted in the distributed generation laboratory of the Electrical Power Engineering Institute of Lodz University of Technology; experimental installation consisting of solar panel, supercapacitors and modern voltage converters has been developed. The scientific novelty is to determine of the wind flow nature influence on high-frequency harmonics of currents and voltages spectral compositions, which allowed for the first time to obtain dependencies between the parameters of wind turbulence and changes of currents and voltages total harmonic distortion. The practical value of the power quality dependencies on wind turbulence is to further develop effective methods for correcting the sinusoidal voltage curve, which will increase the efficiency and feasibility of using a so-called combined power supply model when wind power plants are switched on. The practical value of the experimental studies results of supercapacitors charge and discharge process is the possibility of putting into operation supercapacitor modules of energy storage, as sufficiently effective means of smoothing deviations and voltage fluctuations in solar panels operation.
