The forms and methods of influence of different states on national groups in Eastern Galicia are analyzed. The circumstances are described and the mechanisms of preservation and development of certain sections of national life by Ukrainians, Poles, Jews of the Eastern Galician lands in the conditions of specifics of the national policy implementation by the Austro-Hungarian, Polish, German and Soviet authorities are singled out. Relations between Ukrainians, Poles, Jews of Eastern Galicia of the first half of the twentieth century are revealed. in the political, socio-economic, cultural and spiritual spheres, as well as at the level of everyday communication.
