On the basis of kaolin of the Prosianivsky deposit (Dnipropetrovsk region). Faujasite type of zeolite synthesized in the form of 45-100 micron granules was synthesized in situ. On the basis of natural zeolite rock (Lipcha, Transcarpathian region), a number of samples was obtained by partial acid dealumination of the zeolite lattice. The samples have been impregnated by palladium and nickel in various quantities. Using low-temperature nitrogen adsorption the increasing of surface area, micro- and mesoporosity of natural rock was shown. Samples based on kaolin, in addition to zeolite microporosity, exhibit dominant mesopores of 2-4 nm in diameter. Using TEM the metal particle sizes have been determined, which are preferably 5-10 nm. The structure of zeolites was studied by IR spectroscopy, X-ray analysis and DTA/TG. The activity of metal-containing samples was investigated in micro-pulse isomerization of linear hexane. It is shown that the most effective sample is based on modified natural mordenite with a nickel content of 2 wt %. The latter shows a yield of isomers of 26 % at a selectivity of 80 %, which exceeds the performance for synthetic microporous zeolite, as well as the sample obtained by template synthesis. Kaolin-based catalysts have been compared to synthetic HY in the isopropylbenzene cracking process. Increasing the content of transport mesopores contributed to the increased activity of the samples. Glucose sorption from aqueous solutions by unmodified zeolite samples was established. Kaolin-based sample proved to be more effective. Product Description popup.authors Voloshyna Yuliya G.
