Results - interaction of TKS4 with 15 partner proteins found: scaffold proteins (ITSN1, ITSN2, TKS5, TKS4); regulators of the actin cytoskelet (N-WASP, CR16); endocytic proteins (OPHN1, AMPH1, BIN1, DNM2, SYNJ1) and cell signaling pathway proteins (CRK, GRB2, PLCγ1 and SRC). A new isoform of TKS4 - TKS4b was cloned and characterized. Based on the obtained data, a model of TKS scaffold protein family involvement in cellular processes was constructed, which testifies to the important role of these proteins in the reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton and the remodeling of the cell membrane - processes that occur during the formation and functioning of invadopodia. Quantitative PCR revealed that the short isoform of intersectin 2 (ITSN2-S) can be used as a prognostic marker for breast cancer.  Product Description popup.authors Gryaznova Tetyana A.
