The purpose of the work was to elucidated the prospects of using a bacterial suspension of P. abietaniphila as a biological product for pretreatment of seeds and seedlings of pine and fir for getting seedlings with resistant to biotic stress. Research methods - physiological, biochemical, genetic, microbiological, phytopathological, molecular genetic studies. In this research work, the growth-promoting properties of bacterial strain P. abietaniphila were first discovered. It was found that the bacterial strain produces the phytohormone auxin - indolyltriacetic acid in the amount of 85.06 mg per liter of culture medium. Bacterial strains exhibit antagonistic properties against some phytopathogenic fungi of the genera Fusarium, Botrytis, Alternaria, Phytophthora. Bacterial pretreatment of Scots pineseedlings contributes to the development of systemic resistance by activating a number of antimicrobial peptide genes. It was established that the inoculation of pine seedlings with bacterial suspension increases the morphophysiological parameters of seedlings. We observed an increase in lengths (by 57.7-58.7%) and fresh weight of root systems in one-year old seedlings (1.8-2.42 times), which previously inoculated with the bacterial strain P. abietaniphila. The growth of the length of white fir seedlings by 11.6% was also detected after pretreatment seeds with bacteria in an amount of 108 CFU. The results will be of practical importance in forestry for obtaining high-quality and sustainable seedlings of coniferous species. Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
