Research has been carried out on the chemical composition of the mineral part and the toxic trace elements of the ash-slag wastes of some solid fuel thermal power plants and thermal power plants, which are formed during the burning of coal. The peculiarities of the transfer of pollutants in the area of ​​influence of the enterprises of the fuel and energy complex have been established, which provides the possibility of mathematical modeling of the migration of pollutants in soils and in the surface layer of air from ash dump. A number of mathematical and software tools have been proposed and analyzed to study the process of migration of contaminants within ash dump zones and adjacent territories.
