Purpose: development of organizational-economic tools for improving wellness recreation, based on socio-ecological and economic assessment of the impact of recreation on health and performance of the population in urban agglomerations, within achievement of the SDGs in Ukraine. Methods: economic-statistical analysis, expert method, simulation, economic-mathematical modeling, comparison and generalization, structural analysis and synthesis, analogies and grouping, methods of systematic and scenario analysis. Results: theoretic-methodological approach to improvement of wellness recreation in urban agglomerations on the basis of formation and use of organizational-economic tools that combines the components of market self-regulation, of government regulation, of public participation mechanisms within the achievement of the SDGs in Ukraine; scientific-practical recommendations for the development of organizational-economic tools for improving wellness recreation, based on socio-ecological, economic assessment of the impact of recreation on the health and population’s performance in urban agglomerations. Novelty: the mechanism of investing in wellness recreation on the basis of theoretical-game approach in the context of improvement organizational-economic tools within achievement of the SDGs in Ukraine is substantiated; the theoretic-methodological approach to the development of wellness recreation in urban agglomerations with aspects of inclusive growth and socio-market economy is improved; the theoretic-methodological approach to determining the relationship between recreation, health status and population’s work performance based on the analysis of relevant socio-economic indicators of population's self-perceived is developed; the theoretic-methodological approach to the assessment of investment attractiveness of the recreational complex of urban agglomerations is developed.
