Calcium and strontium fluorapatites were synthesized by solid-phase reactions and chemical precipitation from solutions. It is established that solid-phase synthesis of calcium fluorapatite Ca10(PO4)6F2 and fluorapatite with strontium content of strontium: Ca9Sr(PO4)6F2, Ca8Sr2(PO4)6F2 and Ca7Sr3(PO4)6F2 occurs in the temperature range 600 - 900°C. It is shown that, unlike solid-phase synthesis, the formation of single-phase fluoropatite during chemical deposition occurs directly as a result of the reaction between the solutions of the original components. Optimal parameters for obtaining high density fluorapatite samples were determined. With the use of sintering in air at a temperature of 1200°C for 6 hours, the fluorapatite samples with a density of (90 – 92)% from theoretical with a low content of tricalcium phosphate were obtained. The synthesized fluorapatite has been found to retain its integrity and structure after electron irradiation up to an absorbed dose of 100 MGy. Corrosion tests were performed by leaching of synthesized strontium fluorapatite. The rate of leaching of strontium based on 28 days of testing was 5,910-5 g/cm2day. The results of the researches of radiation and corrosion resistance of synthesized fluorapatites indicate the prospect of using these materials as matrices for immobilization of highly active waste in Ukraine.   Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2020-04-02 Close
