Kukhar Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry and Petrochemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 Nitrogen containing heterocycles, which include derivatives of 1,3-oxazole, play a fundamental role in many biological processes, form the basis of some synthetic drugs and are increasingly in demand as objects of pharmaceutical research. Numerous bioactive drugs of the oxazole series, which play a significant role in the processes of life, were isolated from natural objects. Among them, Virginiamycin M2, Madumycin II, Dendroamide A, Thiangazole and other effective antibiotics - derivatives of 1,3-oxazole-4-carboxylic acid, which exhibit not only strong bactericidal but also anti-blastic effects, should be noted. It is worth noting that not only natural but also synthetic functionalized 1,3-oxazoles are suitable for the creation of plant regenerators, herbicides, insecticides and pharmaceuticals. It is obvious that the works of J. Coronfort, devoted to the development of methods for the derivation of 1,3-oxazole derivatives, should be continued, taking into account the substantial improvement of the synthetic apparatus of chemistry of oxazole, which has been achieved in recent years. Of particular relevance is the study of the transformations of 5-amino, 5-hydrazino and other 5-functionalized oxazoles, which are studied much less than their 2- and 4-substituted analogs. Since the pharmacoformity of the 5-amino-1,3-oxazole system has already been proven earlier, the promise of creating on its basis new types of various bioregulators is beyond doubt. Therefore, the search for convenient approaches to the directed synthesis of new or inaccessible types of nitrogen-containing heterocyclic systems with pharmacophoric groups is a promising and relevant direction, which is confirmed by the ever-increasing number of works on this topic that are held in leading scientific institutions around the world.
