Mathematical, software and methodological means for estimating the workability of the components of hydropower turbine equipment taking into account the action of static and dynamic loads and hydrogen absorption have been developed based on the application of the energy criterion of fracture. The finite element model of the rotor shaft of a rotary-bladed hydropower turbine for the Kyiv pumped hydroelectric energy storage was developed taking into account the effect of operational loads, as well as the process of damage accumulation. The analysis of the stress-strain state of the structural components under the conditions of transverse shear was carried out, on the basis of which the conditions of crack initiation and growth were established and the analytical dependence for calculating the stress intensity factor was substantiated using shear stresses. The mathematical and software means for the calculations of the non-stationary oscillations and stress-strain state of long-dimensional structures have been improved, taking into account the close interaction of electromagnetic phenomena in electric machines and mechanical oscillation and wave phenomena.
