Objects of study - multicomponent high-entropy alloys and coatings. The purpose of the work is to summarize the results obtained to determine the influence of the processes of nanostructured nitride coatings based on WPP, in particular to determine the characteristics of heat and wear resistance and the influence of ion irradiation on their properties. Definition of scientific principles of control of properties of nanostructured nitride coatings obtained from high-entropy alloys due to their composition and application technology The influence of oxygen content in the mixture on the quantitative formation of high-entropy oxide phase in the coating obtained by cathodic sputtering of a multicomponent CrFeCoNiMn alloy in plasma of a compressed vacuum-arc gas discharge is established. The influence of the content of the high-entropy oxide phase in the coating on the hardness and modulus of elasticity is determined. It is shown that in the optimal proportion, the hardness of the coating is in the region of 23-27 GPa. It is shown that annealing of the oxide phase in the coating at 1373 K for 300 minutes reduces the hardness of the coatings from 24 to 17 GPa and leads to a slight increase in the structural component. Carbides and oxides of high-entropy alloys were first obtained by vacuum-arc method. The physico-mechanical properties of coatings and their compounds (nitrides, carbides, oxides) on the basis of WPP have been determined. The deposition rate of coatings, including droplets, obtained in a vacuum-arc way, exceeds these values obtained by the magnetron method, up to 6… 8 times. Nitrides and carbides have been found to have a high hardness of 40… 70 GPa and an elastic modulus greater than 600 GPa. All compounds have relatively low coefficients of friction at the level of 0.06 ... 0.085, and annealing in vacuum up to 1000 ... 1100 ° C does not change their physical and mechanical properties.
