The influence of carbon nanotubes on the structure of copper-based composites obtained by powder metallurgy has been investigated. A comparative analysis the properties of the materials obtained has been carried out and the optimal alloying method has been determined. It has been established that powder materials alloyed using the chemical cementation method have the highest level of technological and mechanical characteristics. This alloying method can be recommended for the industrial production of sintered construction copper steels, since the use of it provides a high level of mechanical properties of the material and makes economic sense. New types of competitive resource-based materials based on copper powders have been developed. Modernisation scenarios for the integrated steelmaking sector aimed at addressing the Ukraine's national commitments for climate change mitigation due to The Paris Agreement have been developed. Methodology principles for prioritisation of the best available and innovative technologies have been developed towards the deployment timeline, the payback period and the carbon footprint. Proposed measures will ensure carbon dioxide emissions reduction of the steel sector to 1.815 kg per tonne of steel, which is below the world average by 8.3%.
