The introduction of alumina into a solution of resorcinol and formaldehyde accelerates the process of gel formation and curing of polymer composites. The ratio of polymer and aluminum oxide used does not give the polymer / oxide composite significant porosity and specific surface area. Subsequent pyrolysis of polymer composites in an inert atmosphere at 800 ° C causes effective changes in the structure and texture of the materials and leads to the development of microporosity in hybrid carbon-oxide nanocomposites and an increase in the specific surface area up to 360-390 m2 / g. The presence in the polymer composite of pyrogenic aluminum oxide in the pyrolysis process gives the carbon component greater ordering with the formation of carbon structures in the hybridization of sp2. The thermogravimetric and mass spectrometric experiment allowed to determine the composition of volatile products at all stages of pyrolysis of resorcinol-formaldehyde composite modified with pyrogenic alumina.
