Using the Geant4 package, Monte Carlo simulations of the response functions of CdZnTe and TlBr detectors for radiation sources of 137Cs, 90Sr, 40K, 131I, and 60Co were performed. On the basis of the obtained spectra, a database of spectral signatures was created, which was used as input for the model of identification and determination of radionuclide activity. The simulation of neutron imaging by fast neutron resonance radiography was performed. The possibility of using fast neutrons to obtain a neutron image and information about the elemental composition of the object of study is investigated. Analysis of the images obtained in the simulation shows that the method of fast neutron resonance radiography allows us to obtain information about the relative distribution of the elements of interest. An analysis of the simplifications previously taken in constructing the approximate probability distribution function of two Fermi functions is carried out. It is shown that they represent the correct mathematical decomposition into a series of small parameters of the function of the complete probability distribution. It is shown that the full probability distribution function has a limitation associated with the limitation of the Fermi formula itself.
