Quantitation of thallium and heavy metals in solutions after iodine reduction was performed by methods of inverse voltammetry and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry, for determination of anions and nonvolatile residual turbidimetry and gravimetric techniques were applied. Impurities content was estimated for a number of experimental samples and crude product purification process efficiency for high purity iodine synthesis was established.
