The relationship between physicochemical properties and the structure of the obtained materials have been determined by modern high-performance research methods. Methods for regulating the porous structure of mesoporous materials by using different structuring templates and preparation conditions have been developed. Methods of synthesis of catalytic systems with acidic and basic active centers based on mesoporous supports have been developed. Recommendations on the technological parameters of catalyst synthesis to achieve complete conversion of the original components into the active phase of the catalyst – calcination temperature of 673 K and calcination time of 6 h. The regularities of the influence of transition metal oxides promoters on the selectivity of methacrylic and acrylic acids by aldol condensation have been established. The tungsten oxide promoter was found to be optimal for the selectivity of methacrylic acid. New active and highly selective catalysts have been developed for the process of gas-phase aldol condensation of propionic acid with formaldehyde into methacrylic acid based on a mixture of boron, phosphorus and tungsten oxides. The optimum atomic ratio of the catalyst components was determined (B: P: W = 3: 1: 0.3). Promotion of the initial B2O3 - P2O5/SiO2 catalyst with tungsten oxide allows to increase the selectivity of methacrylic acid formation from 71.2 % to 93.5 %. It is established that the developed catalyst is also selective in the process of gas-phase condensation of acetic acid with formaldehyde, which allows to obtain acrylic acid with a selectivity of 88.8%.
