This included development of efficient numerical methods for the modeling of the resonance scattering and absorption of terahertz electromagnetic waves by metasurfaces built on the gratings of graphene microstrips attached to dielectric substrates and by single microstrips attached to the circular dielectric rod. The simulations were performed using the singular integral equations for the current on the strips and the discretization of these equations with the aid of interpolation polynomials and quadratures. The developed numerical algorithms have a guaranteed convergence, which allows to calculate the scattering and absorption characteristics of waves with controlled accuracy. A numerical study was initiated of the effect of graphene strip attached to a circular dielectric rod, on the total and backward scattering cross sections, as well as the absorption cross section, in the terahertz frequency range. This study showed that graphene strip is an open resonator on a plasmonic surface wave. By manipulating the parameters of graphene, the excitation of the corresponding resonances can be obtained and the power of the field consumed by scattering and absorption can be controlled. Based on the results of the work, 7 papers were presented at the international conferences ELNANO-2019 (Kyiv), EuMCE-2019 (Prague), UKRCON-2019 (Kharkiv) and COMCAS-2019 (Tel Aviv). Besides, a research paper was published in the Journal of Applied Physics and another paper was prepared for the IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation.
