Kukhar Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry and Petrochemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 The purpose of this work was to conduct oleochemical synthesis of nitrogen-containing nano-sized colloidal products, to establish the mechanism of the course of the amidation reaction, to study the structure, properties and use sinthesized surfactans in the reactions of biolipids alcoholization and esterification of higher fatty acids. Amidation of higher fatty acids of high-grade rapeseed oil with monj- and diethanolamines, N-(2-hydroxyethyl)- та N,N`-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)-ethylenediamine synthesized mixtures of alcanolamides and mono- and diacylglycerol acid. The complex of physicochemical methods estabilished the composition and chemical structure of the synthesized products, in combination with quantum-mechanical models, it is shown that the high selectivity of the reaction is due to the deprotonation of nitrogen at the formation stage of the tetrahydran complex. The properties of the synthesized surfactants have been investigated and found to have improved surfactants properties and can therefore be used as catalysts in the reaction of biolipids and esterification of higher fatty acids. Also, due to their high tribological, ecological and toxicological characteristics and thermal oxidation stability, they have been used to develop elective emulsifiers stabilizers of dispersed systems for the oil and gas industry.
