Clinical-genetic heterogeneity of this group of diseases was first determined and verified, taking into account phenotypic manifestations, variants of karyotype, results of molecular genetic studies. For the first time in Ukraine, the prevalence and structure of sexual differentiation disorders were analyzed, a diagnostic algorithm for the examination of children with impaired development of the sex and an indeterminate structure of the external genital organs were created, which made it impossible to determine the sex. For the first time in Ukraine, an assessment of the psychological health of children with MSD was conducted, namely, the diagnosis of gender self-identification and inter-family relationships. The main results of the work will be used in the protocols of treatment of children with disorders of sexual differentiation, which are based on the improvement of medical genetic examination and counseling of patients with disorders of sexual differentiation.
