The aim of this work to develop an optimal method for the acylation of plant polyphenols with chloroanhydride of carboxylic and sulfonyl acids under inverse phase transfer catalysis in a two-phase water-organic solvent system, which is studied in the department of spectrochemical research by the example of acylation reactions of phenols and carboxylic acids. One of the significant advantages of this method is the ability to replace toxic organic solvents with water, which meets the requirements of green chemistry. The research is aimed at obtaining new compounds with high anti-radical activity based on natural plant polyphenols, studying their structure, physicochemical characteristics and antioxidant properties. Research methods - infrared spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, high performance liquid chromatography, quantum chemical calculations, general methods of synthetic and preparative chemistry. The catalytic acylation of the hydroxyl groups of natural polyphenol - gossypol and dianilinogossypol - was studied. The influence of the nature of the catalyst on the course of the investigated reaction is established. It was shown that the use of the IPTC method allows the acylation reaction to be carried out under mild conditions. Using high performance liquid chromatography, the composition of the reaction products was characterized. A number of new imino derivatives of gossypol were synthesized and studied by NMR and IR spectroscopy. Their antiradical effect was studied on the example of a model reaction with a stable nitrogen-centered free radical - DPPH in an ethanol solution. The biological activity of the obtained compounds was characterized using biotests on the root system of cucumbers (Cucumis sativus L.).
