In connection with alkaline-ultrabasic rocks or carbonates and alkaline rocks of gabbro-syenite complexes, a number of deposits and ore occurrences of medium quality and reserves of complex Nb-REE ores are known. Numerous manifestations of alkaline metasomatites, especially Priazovye, with a similar composition of ore mineralization genetically associated with undiscovered bodies of alkaline rocks or carbonatites, are promising for further geological studies. A feature of the rare-metal mineralization of USh is the discovery of rich REE-Zr ores of an unconventional type in highly differentiated syenites of anorthosite-rapakivigranitic plutons and REE-rich ores of the Anadol type. In connection with the former, the Azov deposit has been explored, but similar ores are also known in the Yastrubetsky massif. Anadol type ores are unique because they have no direct world analogues. With much more common subalkaline or rare-metal granites USh and associated pegmatites, a number of ore occurrences with complex Nb-Ta-Sn-REE (sometimes W, Be, Li) mineralization are known, but most of them still need further study to confirm their economic importance . A separate section provides a detailed, including recent studies, characteristic of rare metal minerals and their chemical composition. In addition, the results of precision geochemical and isotope-geochemical studies from various genetic types of rocks with which ore occurrences are associated or deposits of rare metals are collected. For the first time, the full spectrum of REE in rich ores of the Petrovsko-Gnutovsky deposit was discovered, which, in terms of REE concentration and genesis, is similar to the well-known deposits of Baiyan Obo and Mountain Pass. Based on the generalized data, the possible causes of the initial melts differentiation with generation ore-bearing rocks of different compositions as well as geological factors that contribute of rare metals accumulation in various crystalline rocks and different genesis are considered.
