The object of study is the system of regional risk management in the context of ensuring the customs security of Ukraine. The purpose of the work is to develop an effective mechanism for risk analysis by developing new approaches to regional customs risk profiling. Research Methods - The following methods were used in the research process to achieve this goal: the method of synthesis and analysis, deduction and induction, comparison, generalization, abstraction, dialectical cognition), the method of comparative legal cognition, system analysis and abstract-logical. According to the terms of reference: the system of analysis and management of customs risks in the context of ensuring the customs security of Ukraine is investigated; the procedure of approval of risk profiles and their effectiveness are analyzed; efficiency of application of risk management system by the Customs Customs Service is investigated; generalizes the problems of the use of regional profiles by the Customs DFS and ways of solving them; The results of the study were published on communicative events and in scientific publications. The results of the NTRs are summarized in two aspects: - the scientific novelty of the work lies in the conceptualization of risk-oriented customs control instruments in the face of increasing external and internal threats; systematization of the procedure for development, formalization, approval of profiles and regional risk profiles, as well as analysis of the effectiveness of the application of regional customs risk profiling tools by the Customs Customs Service; generalized international experience in customs risk analysis and assessment; objectification of the main results of the application of the customs risk management system by the Customs Customs Service; generalized contemporary problems of using regional profiling tools. - practical result - regulatory and legal aspects of the functioning of the customs risk analysis and management system; research of modern tools for regional profiling of customs risks by the Customs Customs Service; proposals for improving regional profiling tools; methodological recommendations on the formation of the mechanism of regional risk analysis by developing an algorithm of interaction of structural subdivisions of the Dnipropetrovsk Customs DFS in the process of risk management at the regional level; proposed changes to the ICU on the use of regional customs risk profiling tools.
