The purpose of the work is to create high-performance early-maturing determinant and middle-matured buckwheat varieties with advanced plant architecture resistant to stressful conditions. Research methods: hybridization, polycross test, self-pollination with tetraploid buckwheat isolation, group selection by direct traits and breeding indices, negative selection for determinism. Results of the study - F1 hybrids and selection specimens with given parameters by different forms of genetic recombinogenesis and inbreeding were obtained. New varieties and complex hybrids have been formed and propagated for further research. The control nursery by the level of combinational ability evaluated 68 maternal components, of which 25 hybrids were selected, which can be used as components of synthetic varieties. Of the 15 breeding numbers in the competitive variety test, 12 samples (up to 0.96 t / ha) were exceeded by standards. In the previous variety test for yield over the Olga standard, 6 breeding numbers (up to 0.17 t / ha) prevailed, and the Ukrainka variety exceeded 10 breeding numbers (up to 0.9 t / ha). In the nursery for seed propagation in the area of ??2 ha, 1960 kg of seeds of the new high-yielding variety Ruta (rr.2p) were obtained.
