The general directions of self-education of the Vocational Education and Training Institutions masters are separated, the information on methods of self-education is generalized. Structural (purpose, pedagogical diagnosis, methods, objects of diagnostics, subjects of diagnostics) and functional components (tasks, functions, types of diagnostics, directions of diagnostics, principles of diagnostics) of development of professional competence pedagogical diagnostics system are developed and substantiated.
