This basis is created to setting and develops not only a number of topical questions of Stone Age archeology, but also for solution complex theoretical problems of the ancient past of Ukraine. Priority directions of department scientific work during the implementation of the research work were searches and excavations of the sites for enrich the source base, introduction of new materials into scientific circulation, systematization and analysis of materials for the purpose of cultural, historical and socio-economic reconstructions, preparation of scientific articles and monographs with presentation the research results.
