The purpose of the research work is to carry out a comprehensive analysis of socio-political dimensions of the existence of Islamic communities in Ukraine after 2013. The methodology of scientific work includes both classical and modern religious studies and culturological methodology. The categorical (study of the specific functioning of religious concepts), hermeneutic (study of ideological concepts), content analysis (research papers of Islamic religious communities), various sociological methods, in particular interviewing and expert surveys, are added to the classical methods of analysis and synthesis. The novelty of the methodology is the combination of textual and sociological methods, as it is planned to study both theoretical and practical features of topical processes in the Ukrainian Islamic environment. Scientific work is based on the principle of non-conscientiousness and impartiality in the study of Islam in modern Ukraine. Taking into account the tendency of Islam's assessments of scientific literature in general (from biased negative to generalized positive ones), a scientific study needs to address the specifics of Islam in a particular state, without attributing to Ukrainian Muslims those practices that either do not have place in the Ukrainian Islamic communities or are only inherent individual representatives. The novelty of this approach is that Islam in Ukraine is viewed as an independent phenomenon that has its own socio-cultural specifics, and not simply represents foreign Muslim movements (even in spite of close international ties). During the reporting period 11 monographs were published, 29 articles were published. The results of scientific research were tested at 34 scientific conferences and seminars, including abroad (Poland, Turkey). The results of the GDR are used to develop lecture courses, textbooks and textbooks for the specialty Religious Studies, in particular, Islamic Studies, Islamic Philosophy in Ukraine, in preparing master's theses by students of the specialty in order to study some aspects of the fundamental problem. Foreseeable assumptions about the development of a research object: the results of scientific research can be used by local and state authorities, religious organizations, educational and scientific institutions with the purpose of tolerance of the religious environment of Ukraine.
