For the first time in these agroclimatic conditions the peculiarities of the manifestation of economically valuable features of tobacco samples were investigated and new genetic sources were identified according to the morphological characteristics of plants, yield of raw materials, seed productivity and speedripe. A basic collection of tobacco varieties of different geographical origin (Certificate № 277) has been formed and registered at the National Center for Plant Genetic Resources of Ukraine. According to the results of research, the classification of tobacco varieties according to the complex of morpho-biological, economic-valuable features and adaptability to the agroclimatic conditions of the central part of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine was carried out.
