The products also include a model of youth citizenship competence development in the educational environment, a model of the family interaction impact on children citizenship competence development, a model of the social media influence on citizenship competence development, and a conceptual model of investigating social interest as a factor of youth citizenship competence. Another outcome is a constructed matrix of citizenship competence development in the Internet environment, whose coordinates are conventional forms of Internet civic participation and types of interaction of social agents in the Internet environment. The conducted investigation has contributed to further conceptualization of the social environment favorable for citizenship competence development, as well as determined its characteristics and ways of influence. A rationale for the hypothesis that citizenship competence development is determined by the citizenship discourse and citizenship practices, and is produced by the social environment (family, education, media, economic and political environment) has been provided. Indicators of citizenship competence development in the interaction in the family and with media, in the education and Internet environment have been identified. The influence of social interest on citizenship competence development has been further conceptualized.
