One of the arguments in favor of LED products is their lifetime. Usually, the life span of a device means amount of time till device will stop working. Another factor that can be used as a time from which a device ceases to perform its function may be a decrease in performance below a certain level. Determining the lifespan of an LED device is precisely the reduction of the luminous flux below the guaranteed value.Unlike traditional light sources, the life span of LEDs can be more than 10,000 hours, so it is advisable to use special methods that allow it to be determined without taking measurements over such a large period of time. During the research, equipment was developed to allow the testing of LED light sources in accordance with international standards IESNA LM-79, IESNA LM-80 and IESNA TM-21, and tested 20 test samples of LED light sources for their compliance with these standards . Another important advantage of LED light sources is the ability to create the desired brightness distribution. The control of the brightness parameter can only be determined directly on the illuminated object by specialized equipment. As part of the work, a model of such a device was developed and tested for use in measurements according to state standards of Ukraine. In-house laboratory measurements were also performed to determine the luminance accuracy of the lane on the basis of the equipment developed for different conditions.
